Gia Walton

Gia received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Arts and a Master of Music degree from Temple University where she was a student of Michael Guerra, Guido Mecoli, Ignatius Gennusa and Marshal Taylor. She is currently an Instrumental Music director here at Cherry Hill High School East where she directs Wind Ensemble, Freshman Wind Ensemble, Lab Band, coaches the Chamber Wind Ensembles and teaches Music Theory 1-A.

 

Previously, she held an adjunct position of senior lecturer at the University of the Arts, woodwind faculty member of the Temple University Preparatory Division, Co-director and owner of the Ventnor School of Music in Ventnor, NJ, and conductor of the South Jersey Pops Symphony.

 

Gia currently holds the position of Assistant Director and woodwind faculty member of The Conservatory of Musical Arts in Audubon NJ. She is a freelance musician who has performed with various orchestras, and in casinos and showrooms throughout the Philadelphia-South Jersey area including Philly Pops Orchestra, Walnut Street Theater Orchestra, Ocean City Pops, Atlantic Chamber Ensemble, Bridgeton Symphony and Princeton Music Festival Theater.
